Massage techniques are initially used to located areas of muscular tension with hot stones then being applied and utilised in the treatment providing heat, warmth and a sense of comfort.

As a qualified Hot Stone Massage Therapist, I use this therapy in conjunction with Sports Massage, and it can help with:

• Relieving muscle tension and pain (heat has long been associated with easing muscle tension and pain. It helps increase blood flow to the affected area, can reduce muscle spasms, enhance flexibility and improve range of motion).
• Reducing stress and anxiety.
• Promoting sleep (massage is thought to promote a more restorative night’s rest).

• For the treatment you should wear loose, comfortable clothing and underwear. Blankets will be used appropriately to cover you, to shield your clothing from the massage lotion and protect your modesty.
